JUNIOR RESTRICTIONS

'STOURPORT DIVERS' WILL ONLY ACCEPT JUNIORS (12-18) FOR SCUBA TRAINING SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING SAA & CLUB CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS.

* The written permission of the parents MUST be obtained first.

* The club Dive Officer will exercise their discretion & judgement as to whether the particular junior is suitable for diver training.

* The junior MUST be BIG enough, STRONG enough and FIT enough to handle the diving equipment with safety and to pass the tests, including the medical.

* The junior to be supervised by a parent, guardian or appropriately qualified adult who must be CRB checked at all times.

* The junior to train with CRB checked, qualified Open Water Instructors, with Diver Rescue qualification.

* The junior is limited to safety stop dives only.

* Juniors under the age of 14 are not allowed to dive in water less than 12° Celsius.

* Juniors under the age of 15 only accepted for training if a parent / guardian is on the same course or is already a qualified Dive Leader or above with Diver Rescue qualification.

* Juniors between the ages of 15 -18 yrs may only dive with a CRB checked Dive Leader with Diver Rescue.
