'TRY-A-DIVE'

 

For those who just want to see what SCUBA diving is like, or have concerns about jumping straight into the SCUBA training course the 1 hour 'Try-a-Dive' session is designed to give a taste of SCUBA Diving (min age 12)

 All you need is - your swimming costume & towel, a completed Medical Self Cert Form,
The fee (£20) and a sense of adventure :-)
Don't worry, our fully qualified instructor will take care of everything else.

The 'Try-a-Dive' is usually a "one2one" basis and is designed to give you an insight into the world of SCUBA diving, it will ensure that you can cope with the concept of breathing underwater and allay any fears as your instructor deals with all the technicalities

During the session you will learn about the SCUBA equipment and how it is assembled, learn underwater signs and observe skills taught in the SCUBA training program.
There will be plenty of time during the 'Try-A-Dive' to ask questions,

So, if you have ever though of learning to dive but have concerns about how you would get on a 'Try-A-Dive' is an ideal way to just "Try" SCUBA Diving first!!!
'Try-A-Dive vouchers' are also available as an unusual gift.

 

Schedule of a 'Try-A-Dive'


* You arrive at the Stourport Leisure Centre at 3pm on Sunday to meet your instructor,
* Fill out a Self Certification medical form & ask any questions before getting changed,
* At the pool side you observe different parts of the SCUBA equipment and their assembly,
* You enter the water, learn the under water signs and how to use a mask fins and snorkel,
* You slip on the SCUBA equipment and go through its basic operation and then -
* Take your first few breaths underwater with the safety of your instructor,
* As confidence builds you enjoy the feeling of freedom & weightlessness of your first dive,
* You may observe some skills taught during the SCUBA course and ask any questions,
* After, join your instructor and club members for a de-brief and chat about your dive,

When? - Most any Sunday, 3pm, between the 1st week in Sept & the last week in March,

How much? - £20 to inc pool entrance fee, (Cheques payable to 'SOS Divers')
